Hello everyone,
I would like to share my story and ask for as much help as possible from each of you.
My name is Alexandr Cozbinov. I am 29 years old. I am a professional tennis player from Moldova All my life I had a dream to play professional tennis but never really had the financial opportunity to do so. At the age of 24, after playing and studying at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, I decided to pursue my dream and play professionally. In 2021, I achieved my career highest world ranking of 237 in doubles. In 2023, I got to my career best singles world ranking of 420.
However, at the end of 2023, beginning of 2024, I started to have issues with my right elbow. For the first time in my career, I had to retire from a tennis match due to extreme pain in my right elbow. Later on, I went to Europe for an MRI and it showed that I have both ulnar collateral ligament and common flexor tendon completely ruptured.
After a couple of months of researching and contacting multiple doctors, I found the right Elbow Doctor in Belgium that had experience operating on tennis players with the same injury. He suggested that I do the surgery as soon as possible due to possible complications of the injury if not treated.
I spent all of my savings and did the surgery on 06/06/24. The surgery itself included medical collateral ligament reconstruction and common flexor tendon repair. The surgery went well and now I’m in a stage of recovery. As the doctor wrote in the report, the recovery takes from 6-12 months to the day I can play tennis with no pain again.
Since I spent all my savings, I am concerned about my future and tennis career. I am very passionate about tennis as a sport and want to have one more chance to properly recover and play. I am asking for any donation to help me keep moving forward and go through recovery.
Any help is very much appreciated!
