Support Alexander's Fight Against Myeloma

Hello, my name is Alexander Lethbridge Castro and this is my story. I am a single father of a 5-year-old autistic son that needs me to guide him and watch him grow. After suffering with excruciating pain for 11 months, 3 visits to emergency rooms, MRIs, X-rays, Bone density exam, several CT and PET scans, 3 Bone marrow tests, and 5 different medical specialists, I was finally diagnosed with multiple myeloma which is cancer of my bones and bone marrow. This cancer is treatable but not curable. After chemotherapy, I will require a stem cell transplant.

After thousands of dollars spent last year, 2023 ended and those expenses were not carried over to 2024 because I did reach the 15k out of pocket. So far I have had over 12K out of pocket expenses, plus co-payments, medications, physical therapy, transportation (due to procedures where I was not allowed to drive myself because of sedation), and many heated discussions with my insurance company. Despite my excruciating pain, and now my hospitalization, I am trying to continue working remotely, so I won't lose my job, health insurance, and consequently my son.

I was admitted to Emory Cancer Care Unit in Atlanta to try to stabilize me before any treatment because I was also in renal failure due to the incorrect medical instructions from one of the many specialists. Now, my cancer treatment has just begun.

As you can imagine, I am unable to work and I am consuming my last vacation days. If you are able to contribute, any financial help and all your prayers will be greatly appreciated.
