Iv'e never asked for handouts in my 34 years of life, but I have found myself on hard times. Getting laid off in late September , I was able to get hired by the school district by mid October. However I was only able to work 6 shifts in October as a substitute for supporting special education students. On top of that I won’t see payment from October until November 28th. Thankfully I was invited to try out for a special education team at Sunnyland Elementary and will be working M-F for the rest of November but I won’t see any November work payment until December 31st. I appealed to unemployment for financial assistance but since I am technically working, they are denying me any financial assistance. Any donations to help me stay financially afloat until the end of the year is appreciated. I am trying to find other work and doing things like door dash or Instacart, but given the due date on rent and bills I will need all the help I can get.
