Support Alex Paul's Stroke Recovery Journey
Donation protected
Dear Friends/Family and those who may not know us,
I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart to share some news about our dad.
Hello, my name is Leanna Longee. I am the second youngest child of Alexander & Cecilia (Teena) Paul.
Alex (Alexander) is 74 years old soon to be 75 in Oct. He is a loving husband, dad and grandpa.
On August 7th, he suffered a stroke which has left him without the use of his leg and only partial use of his arm. While he remains in great spirits, this has been a life-altering event for both him and our mother, who he always takes care of.
Currently, the doctors have planned to admit him into St Luke’s Rehabilitation Medical Center for 16 days of intensive physical therapy to help regain function in his leg and arm. This unexpected setback has brought about additional expenses for our family, particularly for my mother and older brother Faran who will be traveling back and forth from Coulee Dam, WA to Spokane, WA to be by our dad's side.
Our goal is to raise enough funds to ensure that my mother can stay in a room close to my dad during his stay at the medical center. We also aim to cover her food/gas expenses and any other costs that may arise during this challenging time. Our parents are inseparable, and we want to make sure that our dad is not left alone in an unfamiliar environment without our mom by his side.
Both of our parents are on fixed income (SSI) and barely make it by on that. If you know my parents they are not ones to ask for help. So as there children we humbly ask for your support during this difficult time. Any donation, no matter how big or small, will be greatly appreciated and will go a long way in helping our family through this tough period.
Thank you for taking the time to read this message and for considering supporting our family. Your generosity means the world to us.
Warm regards, Alex, Teena and kids
