May, 3, 2026 - Update: Alex is adjusting, somewhat , of how the next few months will be for her. She is in pain, has to use a walker, and is house bound. Alex does not have health insurance and your donations have been a blessing. She had her first follow up appointment, there were no big surprises...her back has an unstable fracture. if she is not careful, she could do lifelong damage. Getting Alex to follow directions is fun to watch. She is stubborn , strong, and has opinions and feedback at every turn. always trying to plan ahead, that is our Alex.

UPDATE ---- Alex is home! She has a caregiver with her because her mobility is extremely limited. Her back is fractured and the final decision was no surgery. She will heal better at home. Alex is grateful and humbled by the donations, text messages, hospital visits, and phone calls. if you want to visit her, please call her first. I will say that Alex is one tough cookie.

Alex Nunez was in a serious car accident today and was flown to Santa Rosa, where she will undergo surgery for her back injuries. The accident has left her unable to work for the foreseeable future, and she faces a long road to recovery.
