Our beloved Alex Kenney was taken to the hospital on Tuesday evening, January 27th, with what has turned out to be a tear in one of the arteries leading to her brain, causing a mini-stroke. After a night of monitoring and testing, she is 'neuro-intact,' meaning she did not suffer significant damage, nor does she have any impaired speaking or movement.

Alex will need to remain in the hospital for another 48 hours from the time that she received the original injection, helping thin out her blood to avoid potential follow-up damage. If all goes well, she will be able to go home by this weekend.

However, her recovery will not be quick and will require ongoing therapies and monitoring over the next three to six months. We are hoping to return the endless love Alex and Cavan give to the world by helping offset costs not covered by insurance and FMLA, allowing Alex the time she needs to fully recover without financial worry.
