We are coming together to support our Collabera colleague, and friend, Alex and her family. Alex is a Los Angeles native who geeks out over the evolution of the media and entertainment industry. Her mother was a VP at Warner Bros and introduced Alex to her love of film and how they are made. Alex went on to attend the University of Colorado Boulder while her parents moved to the Pacific Palisades. When she returned, she moved into a cute bungalow right down the street in 2021.

Alex started with our company just three short months ago with the goal to help us stand up our Media and Entertainment portfolio in Los Angeles. She has played such an integral role in our team since she walked in our doors. She has taken every opportunity to join meetings with young AMs or to teach a new technique in Sales Meetings. In her short tenure with Collabera, she already has walked in 4 hires. She is marching towards a promotion to Strategic Account Manager over Disney.

On Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock, she was in a meeting with myself and Brittany Tipton to discuss Disney territories. We were talking business units and geographies and discussing how we can best sales enable the account across the country. During the meeting, she felt her phone buzzing and buzzing. She chose to ignore it. She’d come to find out that those calls were from her family. In the following 24 hours, the Palisades fire burned through 15,000 acres and damaged or destroyed 5,000 structures. Unfortunately, one of those houses was her family home. Her family only had time to grab some immediate valuables, but so much was lost in the fire.
