Alex and Ishmael are my coworkers and friends from Amazon in Rialto. On the night between Friday, January 9th and Saturday, January 10th, they went out with two other friends to enjoy some time together. Tragically, their night took a devastating turn when they were involved in a serious car crash. Both Alex and Ishmael ended up in the hospital for multiple days. Alex suffered multiple stitches in his head and fractured two vertebrae in his neck. He was unconscious after the accident and can’t remember much of what happened. Ishmael, on the other hand, was fully conscious during the crash and endured a broken foot and hand, both of which required surgery.

This accident has left both Alex and Ishmael facing a long and uncertain road to recovery. Their doctors are unsure when they’ll be able to return to work, and in the meantime, they’re left with mounting medical bills and living expenses. To make matters more difficult, neither of them was driving, and it’s possible the driver of the vehicle was uninsured, which adds even more uncertainty to their situation.
