Support Alex and His Family Through Medical Hardship

Spende geschützt
UPDATE (7/16): Thank you so much for everyone's thoughts, prayers, and generosity! We are truly touched and humbled! Alex received his fourth chemo treatment today. These last two weeks, his white blood cell and neutrophil counts were critically low, and his treatments were adjusted. Last week, he wasn't able to receive one of his chemo meds. This week, he received a lower dosage, but we have to be more diligent and careful regarding exposure to infection. His potassium levels are staying within range, and his creatinine levels came down some after going up the last two weeks. He is still considered in kidney failure, but we pray the numbers continue to go in the right direction. He was supposed to get his PET scan yesterday. Unfortunately, issues with miscommunication have postponed it yet again. We continue to pray it will happen soon. Alex is feeling good and staying strong in his mindset and appreciates everything everyone is doing for us. Please continue to pray with us and share the link. We are truly blessed!Lots of love to everyone! ✝️❤️- Angela and Family

UPDATE (7/6): Three weeks ago tomorrow, Alex went to the emergency room for a bloody nose that would not stop bleeding for hours. This had also happened a few days before. While in the emergency room, they were able to get the bleeding to stop and the ER doctor decided to have blood drawn, which she indicated she doesn't usually do for a bloody nose. Thank God she did. The blood work revealed Alex had less than half the blood volume he should have and we were told he was in end stage renal failure. He was since diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma (light chain) which has impacted his kidneys. The results of the bone marrow biopsy have shown the myeloma is aggressive and ultra high risk with two high risk markers. The chemo treatments need to work to give Alex the best chance for kidney function improvement and the opportunity for a bone marrow transplant in the future. We are still waiting for a PET scan and praying it will happen soon. It will tell us if the myeloma has impacted other areas. We pray it hasn't. Alex is strong in his faith, feeling good, and ready to fight this. Please continue to pray with us for healing and strength. The outpouring of love and support continues to humble us and uplift our family. Please continue to share the link and donate if you are able. We continue to be blessed. Lots of love to everyone! ❤️✝️- Angela and Family

UPDATE (7/1): Alex is home, thank the Lord! He's ready to begin the next phase of this journey beginning with his first full chemo treatment tomorrow and visits with the nephrologist to continue monitoring his kidney function. We are still waiting on the full results from his bone marrow biopsy and PET scan and continue to pray for a positive prognosis. We can't thank everyone enough for the continued support, words of encouragement, and prayers! Please keep them coming and continue to share if you feel comfortable. Every little bit helps and we have been so blessed! Lots of love to everyone! ❤️✝️ -Angela and Family

UPDATE (6/28): Alex is scheduled to be released from the hospital (after 2 weeks) on Monday, Lord willing. He is in good spirits but definitely ready to go home! The myeloma has impacted his kidneys to the point where he is considered in kidney failure. He has been receiving plasma exchange treatments to attempt to improve his kidney function in hopes of keeping him off dialysis and to get him ready to start his full chemo regimen in a few days. We are still waiting on the full results from his bone marrow biopsy and praying for a positive prognosis. We can not begin to thank everyone enough for your continued prayers, support, and generosity. It has been so meaningful and uplifting for our family. Please continue to pray, share, and donate if you are able. Alex is ready to fight this battle head-on, but he'll need all the support he can get! Your encouragement and support mean the world to us! ❤️✝️-Angela and Family

UPDATE: We are deeply humbled by the outpouring of love, support, and generosity we are receiving for Alex and our family. Alex has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma cancer. He has started treatments and is in very good spirits. Please continue to pray for healing and strength, as we have a long road ahead of us. He will be in the hospital for another week and then we will begin the journey of outpatient treatment and care. Words cannot describe how thankful we are for everyone's help and encouragement! ❤️✝️ -Angela

Hello everyone,
Thank you for taking the time to listen.
Today, I’m reaching out on behalf of someone who has always put others before himself, a dedicated father, a tireless worker, and a man whose heart is as big as his commitment to his family. Alex, only 54 years old, has spent his life working hard, not just at his job, but in every role he’s taken on. He’s the father of two wonderful children and, for years, he went above and beyond to be there for them. Whether it was driving them to school, staying late after work to make ends meet, or coaching their soccer team, rain or shine, Alex was always present. Not only was he the dad cheering from the sidelines, but also their coach.

Now, Alex is facing serious medical challenges that have made it difficult for him to continue supporting his family the way he always has. And for someone as proud and hardworking as Alex, asking for help is one of the hardest things to do. But sometimes, even the strongest need support. And today, we’re asking for yours.
The funds raised will go directly toward covering medical expenses and helping him and his family get through this difficult time without the added weight of financial stress. Every donation, no matter the size makes a difference. Even just sharing this campaign helps more than you know.

Alex has spent a lifetime showing up for others. Now, we have the chance to show up for him.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your compassion, your support, and for standing by a man who has stood by so many.
