Support Alesysa's Healing Journey

This story is about a friend of mine who never asks for anything but could really use not only some financial help but prayers for a speedy recovery. Her name is Alesysa.

About a month ago, she started to not feel like herself. Cold symptoms, terrible headaches, etc. She thought it was just a cold, so she took medicine and did her best to get healthy and continue working. At one point, she started to feel better, so she took her kids on a planned vacation to the beach for a week.

Soon after returning, the symptoms started back up. This time, getting worse and worse until she had to start missing days of work. Eventually, the symptoms became excruciatingly painful, and she was rushed to the ER. After several tests, a brain tumor was found. She was told it didn’t appear to be cancerous, but it was emergent and had to be removed ASAP.

The following week, she had emergency brain surgery to remove the tumor. She stayed in the hospital for a few days to recover and to deal with some complications from surgery, and then she was sent home to finish her recovery, which can take approximately 6 weeks. She’s in the same boat as most of us and is living paycheck to paycheck, so you can imagine how terrifying it must be to not be able to pay almost any bills for approximately 2 months. She has children depending on her, and she’s exhausted all attempts at getting help through the proper channels. The only help she’s received is for food, which is great but doesn’t keep a roof over her head or pay her car loan, insurance, and utilities.

Anyone who knows me knows I never ask for help… and neither does Alesysa. She’s a very independent woman who is down on her luck and is now dealing with severe depression on top of it.

She won’t need help long term. She just needs help getting through the next two months until she can start working again.

I hope you all take the time to read this and think of a time when you were struggling and really needed help. We’ve all been there. Please donate whatever you are able. Let's help her not lose the things she’s worked hard for because of a medical emergency she didn’t see coming. Let’s help her keep a roof over her kids' heads and allow her peace of mind when it comes to her finances so she can focus on recovery.

I’ve never made a GoFundMe before, so I really wasn’t sure what all to put in here to explain what she’s going through in a way people will understand and relate to. Please do not post any negative comments. She’s going through enough.
