Dear Family and Friends,

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Alekxi Rodriguez, son to Rocio Calderon and Miguel Rodriguez, an amazing brother to Erick, and a friend to a multitude of people.

Many that knew him knew how good of a son he was. He would go to work with his dad after school and help his mom in everything he could. He was the quiet one but had the biggest heart. He was a great friend. We grew up together, went to high school, and graduated together. Even though he was going through so much, he never once complained to us about his diagnosis. He was mindful and didn’t want his friends to worry or stress. That just shows you how good a friend he was.

Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with thyroid cancer at the tender age of 15. After receiving chemotherapy, he went into remission, but for him, it wasn’t over. At the age of 19, a new tumor was discovered on the side of his lung. The tumor was not operable because of its location; it was too risky, so again he received radiation to shrink it. During this time, he developed an infection which caused him to get pneumonia. After developing pneumonia, his health rapidly declined until he could no longer fight. Alekxi passed away on May 1st, 2025, with his mother, father, and brother by his side.

We’re raising funds to help cover the funeral expenses and provide some immediate support for the family during this incredibly difficult time. His family has no ability to pay for all of the funeral arrangements and other expenses.

Any contribution, no matter the size, will help ease their burden and offer a bit of peace as they begin to grieve and heal.
