My dear friends, with heartbreak and sorrow I'm asking for prayers and support.

This morning our hearts shattered. Aleksey Budkevich , my 19 year-old cousin passed away after bravely fighting cancer for over a year. He was so young, just beginning his life, but faced this cruel illness with a strength and courage that inspired everyone around him. After he finished his 8th round of chemotherapy , doctors were giving us hope and said that he’s doing a lot better. But God had different plan, and took him home. My aunt , her two daughters , and Aleksey are very humble family with no father, and his mother was his sole caregiver and support throughout his entire journey. The place where they are living have very limited resources to for any medical help, but she did everything she could to help and treat her son.

Over the last year, we helped him to do 8 rounds of chemotherapy, each one more expensive and more difficult than the last. His mother borrowed money from from everyone around just to keep going, desperate to give him a chance to live. Now, with her son gone, she is left not only with unbearable grief, but also a large amount of debt and his funeral expenses. We really want to help her to cover all the funeral and burial expenses. Pay back the debts she took on to fund his treatment. And take a short time to grieve and heal without the pressure of going straight back to work
