For those who know Aleksandra, you are familiar with her unique and contagious spirit, genuine friendship, kindness, boundless compassion, and dedication to the patients she serves as an OB/GYN sonographer.

Aleksandra was first diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of breast cancer—Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, Grade 3, Triple Negative—in October 2023, after a growth was initially misdiagnosed in April. The cancer had already spread to multiple lymph nodes. She underwent initial treatment, including 16 rounds of chemotherapy, followed by a mastectomy and radiation.

Earlier this year, follow-up testing confirmed the heartbreaking news: the cancer has returned and metastasized to her lungs making it hard to breath and bone resulting in constant pain.

Her treatment journey has begun and at this point is aggressive enough where she cannot work at this time. The mounting medical bills, co-payments, and living expenses are becoming overwhelming, especially as some necessary tests and treatments are not fully covered by her health insurance.

The purpose of this GoFundMe is to raise money and awareness to help Aleksandra fight this terrible disease by alleviating the past and present financial burdens of medical bills and housing fees she cannot cover on her own.
