From Alejandro’s Aunt Lea:
The harsh truth of tragedy is that it can strike your family when you least expect it with no care for who you are or what you bring to this life because tragedy does not care that you are loved or that you are someone's child or even that you have just started out in this world. Tragedy is merciless.
My 19- year old nephew and his friend were in an accident and my nephew is laying in a hospital with my brother and sister in law praying for mercy. He is young, cocky, full of life, all Rodriguez.
Currently, Day 3, Alejandro has started to have less swelling to his face and looks more like himself. He continues to be sedated but doctor has removed the paralytic sedation and a blood pressure medication. His ICP pressures continue to fluctuate but have maintained under 20 today. He has bruising in his brain so sedation will continue for a few more days. He is intubated and resting which is exactly what he needs.
As you can imagine our family is need of prayers and support and at this moment anything helps!
Thank you to all that have reached out and prayed for him but his fight has just started. There are no words on how we all feel. If I could take his place I would. If I could fight for him I would but it's all him and God right now. May he continue to show us mercy for him and our family. Pray as hard as you can as much as you can. Because we are on our knees.
