Because of your love, support, and generous donations, we were able to lay our beloved Alejandro Guzman to rest with the dignity and peace he deserves. It means everything to our family to know that we didn’t have to go through this alone.

Although we were able to give him a proper burial, his grave is still without a headstone — nameless for now. We are continuing to raise funds so we can place a proper headstone to honor his memory, mark his resting place, and give our family a space to visit and remember him.

Loving Memory of My Cousin

Yesterday, my family experienced a heartbreaking loss. We lost a son, father, brother, cousin, uncle, nephew, and friend. My cousin was taken from us in a tragic shooting, and our hearts are shattered. What makes it even harder is seeing my aunt—his mom—go through this while she’s already fighting cancer. Her health is fragile, and now she’s carrying the weight of losing her son.

Regardless of his life choices, he always stayed true to himself. He was kind, respectful, and full of love for his family. He gave advice to the kids about morals and doing the right thing. He would talk to them and tell them to respect their parents and women period. He was a playful dad, a loving son who always tried to help his mom, with his brother and the type of person who would make you laugh even on your worst days. His tattoos and tough image didn’t define him—his heart did. We’re trying to raise money to give him the peaceful goodbye he deserves and to help ease some of the burden on his mom during this incredibly hard time. Anything you can give—whether it’s a donation, a share, or a prayer—would mean so much to us.

En Memoria de Mi Primo

Ayer, mi familia vivió una pérdida que nos rompió el corazón. Perdimos a un hijo, padre, hermano, primo, tio, sobrino, y amigo. Mi primo fue asesinado en un tiroteo y todavía no lo podemos creer. Lo que hace esto aún más doloroso es ver a mi tía—su mamá—pasar por esto mientras ella ya está luchando contra el cáncer. Su salud es muy delicada, y ahora tiene que cargar con el dolor más grande que puede sentir una madre. Sé que algunos lo pueden juzgar por la vida que vivía pero eso no define quién era él de verdad. Era una persona con buenos valores, respetuoso, y lleno de amor por su familia. Siempre daba consejos a los niños sobre principios y cómo ser personas de bien, les aconsejaba qué respetaran a sus padres y a las mujeres. Fue un papá cariñoso, un hijo que ayudaba a su mamá con su hermano siempre que podía, y una persona que te hacía reír con su forma tan alegre de ser. Por fuera parecía rudo como mala persona por sus tatuajes, pero por dentro tenía un corazón tan enorme.

Queremos despedirlo con el respeto y el amor que se merece, y apoyar a su mamá en este momento tan duro. Si puedes ayudarnos con una donación, compartiendo esta causa, o simplemente con una oración, te lo agradeceríamos con todo el corazón.
