Support Alejandro Delgado's Water Polo Dream

Hi, my name is Alejandro Delgado, and I’m a dedicated student-athlete with a deep passion for water polo. This summer, I’ve been given the incredible opportunity to compete and train at an international level—and I need your help to make it happen.

I’ll be participating in several major events with top teams from around the world, including:

• Medellín, Colombia for the Pan Am Games, where I’ll be competing with the Puerto Rican National Team

• Three trips to California for the Junior Olympics: training, qualifiers, and the main competition

• Puerto Rico for a high level water polo league with players from around the world

• Tenerife, Spain for a training camp with Nessies, Florida’s first professional water polo team

• A return trip to California with the Nessies at the end of the summer for another high-level tournament

These events are more than just competitions—they’re part of my journey as an athlete, and they’re deeply personal. Water polo was a bond that my dad and I shared. He introduced me to the sport, and after he passed away, it became my way of staying connected to him. Since then, I’ve played every match in his memory. I play to honor him and the love we shared for the game.

Next year is my senior year, and it’s my last chance to truly make an impact and open doors for college opportunities and beyond. These experiences will help me grow, showcase my talent, and hopefully earn a spot on a college team.

My mom has been my rock through everything. She’s a single parent who’s supported me every step of the way, but this summer’s travel, training, and lodging costs are a huge financial burden to carry alone.

I’m asking for help to raise $5,000 to cover:

• Flights to Colombia, California (multiple times), Puerto Rico, and Spain

• Hotel stays and lodging for each trip (a major expense)

• Tournament fees and training costs

• Water polo gear and meals while traveling
