Hello! I'm raising funds for a concert I'm putting together with a pianist, and myself on vibraphone.

I'm a concert percussionist from North Jersey, and I graduated from Montclair State University in December 2023. Since then, I have experienced intense burnout, and that has finally subsided within the past year, and I'm ready to play my first concert!

Most of the funds will go toward the venue fee. Something I was looking for in my search for a venue was a handicap accessible space, because I have a good chunk of friends that have different disabilities I would want to accomodate, which thankfully the venue I would like to book is more than happy to help with that. Additionally a smaller chunk will go toward my own travel, paying for my pianist's tolls since he goes from Queens, NY to New Jersey, and I'm hoping to give the rest to the Sphinx organization as well as any ticket sales. They focus on aspiring young Black and Latino classical musicians, and breaking the high cost barrier of entry that is typical in learning music.

The concert is called Singing from the Sole, because vibraphones and pianos have pedals, they sing, and it features a vocalist on one tune.

It will be featuring some classical, like The Sunken Cathedral by Claude Debussy, contemporary works such as Atmospheric Study, by Catherine Fields, and Four Bashō Haiku, featuring a soprano vocalist.
