Today, I am encouraged to ask for something we all need at some point: a little support, for Alejandra and her mom, Oldineyi.

In the last few weeks, Alejandra's life took a complete turn. She started feeling strong pain in her pelvis, leg, and lung, ended up with multiple studies, surgeries, and biopsies, and now she's facing a complex medical process, with a lung cancer diagnosis that will require more treatments or possible surgeries, and days when she simply won't be able to work. After bravely fighting cervical cancer in 2022, now this fear and uncertainty have returned to her with these new diagnoses.

Her mother Oldineyi, who lived with her, also fell seriously ill. She had to travel to Colombia as an emergency to receive treatment for stomach cancer, and she is currently facing a difficult medical process with many economic limitations.

Who is Ale:

Ale is a great woman, an excellent daughter, a great professional, and a wonderful Dog mom to Zeus, Nala, and Junior, who are her source of joy and daily motivation. Something we all recognize about her is her deep faith, her fighting spirit, her dreamy optimism, and her incredible bravery—she's the strongest person I've ever known. She is someone who always goes above and beyond to support others. She deserves the same support more than ever.

What is she facing:

In the coming months, Ale will be enduring:

• Surgery and/or aggressive treatments

• Tests and imaging not always fully covered

• Unexpected medical and travel expenses.

• Time away from work as her health becomes the priority

• Financially supporting her mom from a distance.

• Covering basic living expenses during treatment.

• Multiple specialist appointments

Hoy me animo a pedir algo que todos necesitamos en algún momento: un poco de apoyo para Alejandra y su mamá, Oldineyi.

En las últimas semanas, la vida de Alejandra dio un giro completo. Comenzó a sentir un dolor fuerte en su pelvis, pierna y pulmón, terminó en múltiples estudios, cirugías y biopsias, y ahora está enfrentando un proceso médico complejo, con un diagnóstico de cáncer de pulmón que requerirá más tratamientos o posibles cirugías, y días en los que simplemente no podrá trabajar. Después de haber luchado bravamente contra un cáncer cervical en 2022, ahora este miedo e incertidumbre han vuelto a ella con estos nuevos diagnósticos.

Su madre Oldineyi, que vivía con ella, también enfermó gravemente. Tuvo que viajar a Colombia de emergencia para recibir tratamiento para un cáncer de estómago, y actualmente está enfrentando un proceso médico difícil con muchas limitaciones económicas.

¿Quién es Ale?

Ale es una gran mujer, una excelente hija, una gran profesional y una maravillosa Dog mom para Zeus, Nala y Junior, quienes son su fuente de alegría y motivación diaria. Algo que todos reconocemos en ella es su fe profunda, su espíritu de lucha, su optimismo soñador y su increíble valentía—es la persona más fuerte que he conocido.

Es alguien que siempre va más allá para apoyar a los demás. Ella merece el mismo apoyo más que nunca.

¿Qué está enfrentando?

En los próximos meses, Ale estará enfrentando:

· Cirugía y/o tratamientos agresivos

· Examenes e imágenes medicas no siempre cubiertas por completo

· Gastos médicos y de viaje inesperados.

· Tiempo alejada del trabajo mientras su salud se convierte su prioridad

· Apoyando economicamente a su mamá desde lejos.

· Cubriendo gastos básicos de vida durante el tratamiento.

· Múltiples citas con especialistas

Si puedes ayudar a Ale, significaría mucho. Siempre ha sido alguien que se preocupa profundamente por los demás, y ahora está enfrentando esta batalla mayormente sola. Tu apoyo la ayudará a mantener un techo sobre su cabeza, cuidar de sus perros y enfocarse en su salud y la recuperación de su mamá.
