My name is Alejandra Villagrana Ibarra , and As devastating as this is I need help and support. On November 18, my father, Leonel Villagrana Flores, & Uncle Isaias Villagrana Flores were taken by ICE while he was working at Bro-Tex in Saint Paul. This has turned our world completely around. My dad has lived in Saint Paul for many years, working long hours and multiple jobs to support his family. He has no criminal record, no history of harm, nothing but a life of hard work and love for his family. He has is a great person he’s honestly a teddy bear in a grizzly bear costume.
My dad came here looking for opportunities for work to support his family back home in Mexico then when his family was built here, like so many immigrants who give everything to build a better life. He has been part of this community for years. He works, he pays taxes, he helps his neighbors, he shows up. And yet, like so many of our people, he is being treated like he does not belong like he is not a person. I’m completely torn having not just my dad but my uncle as well ripped away one morning while all he did was simply wake up and go to work. Me and my family need the support anyone can give now more than ever. He was the main provider and we will need help with living costs and all the lawyer fees we will need to pay. I want this story out for people to realize how much this hurts and how much this affects people

El 18 de noviembre, mi padre, Leonel Villagrana Flores, y mi tío, Isaias Villagrana Flores, fueron detenidos por ICE mientras él estaba trabajando en Bro-Tex en Saint Paul. Esto ha puesto nuestro mundo completamente de cabeza. Mi papá ha vivido en Saint Paul por muchos años, trabajando largas horas y en múltiples empleos para mantener a su familia. No tiene antecedentes penales, ni historial de causar daño, nada más que una vida de trabajo duro y amor por su familia. Es una gran persona; honestamente es un oso de peluche con disfraz de oso gris..
Mi papá vino aquí buscando oportunidades de trabajo para apoyar a su familia en México, y luego, cuando formó su familia aquí, como tantos inmigrantes que dan todo para construir una vida mejor. Ha sido parte de esta comunidad durante años. Trabaja, paga impuestos, ayuda a sus vecinos, siempre está presente. Y aun así, como a tantas de nuestra gente, lo están tratando como si no perteneciera, como si no fuera una persona. Estoy completamente destrozada al tener no solo a mi papá sino también a mi tío arrancados de nosotros una mañana, mientras lo único que hicieron fue simplemente despertarse e ir a trabajar. Mi familia y yo necesitamos el apoyo que cualquiera pueda brindarnos ahora más que nunca.
