Hello, my name is Aleiya Barrow, and I'm a rising college freshman with a dream: to attend the University of New Haven, one of the top schools in the country for Criminal Justice. I've worked incredibly hard to get to this point, both in the classroom and in life, but I recently found out that the student loan I was counting on to pay for school didn't go through. This has been a heartbreaking and unexpected setback, but I'm not giving up. I've overcome a lot, especially when it comes to my health. Despite personal challenges, l've stayed focused on my education, maintained strong grades, and earned my place at a great

university. Criminal Justice isn't just a major to me, it's a calling. I want to be part of creating safer, more just communities, and the University of New Haven offers exactly the education and opportunities I need to do that.
