Support Alecia and Ronan's Recovery Journey

Hi everyone,
I am setting up this GoFundMe on behalf of my daughter Alecia, her husband TJ, and their eight-year-old son Ronan, who have endured many major financial hardships over the last year and a half. This began in November and December 2023 when Alecia was hospitalized twice (and on suicide watch) for an extreme mental health crisis. This resulted in a lengthy absence from her job of five years. She sadly was terminated from her employment as a result of the missed time and was out of work for eight months unpaid. During this time, she worked hard to get better mentally, while her husband did all he could as the only financial provider, including working extra hours (when he could) and taking care of Alecia (watching her closely to ensure her safety) and their son Ronan. Alecia was thankfully strong enough to return to the workforce. She began her employment in June 2024, taking a position on a completely different career path as she felt strongly about working in an environment to help other people as a way of “giving back” after receiving the help she had during her darkest times with her mental health issues. This new position entailed working with mentally and physically challenged adults in hopes of preparing them to eventually live on their own. After about eight months, unfortunately, this position became too demanding on her mentally as her responsibilities were taking care of 16 of these individual adults in her classroom (some of them very low functioning) as well as being a transporter of these adults to and from outings and the campus itself. In February 2025, she decided to apply for a position (with a different company) working with autistic children with behavioral problems and was hired. Before being able to start her new position, yet another setback occurred. Alecia had a gallbladder attack which resulted in emergency surgery on February 24, which included another hospital stay during which time she had no income once again for herself. After her recovery, she was finally able to start her new position, which included 40 hours of unpaid training prior to March 10, 2025. After being at her new job for just around four weeks, their son Ronan had a freak accident on April 13, 2025, which ultimately sent them to Rainbow Babies Children's Hospital in Cleveland. Ronan had to undergo surgery and sadly has not progressed as well as they expected as of right now and sadly has no release date as of yet. He has now been in the hospital for four days, which is taking Alecia away from her employment (and no idea when she’ll be able to return), resulting in once again having no income for herself, and her husband is once again trying to be the sole provider financially. With all of this said and all of these emergencies, they’ve unfortunately fallen behind financially for quite some time now and could truly use all of the help they can get.
I know this is a trying time for everyone financially, but if you could offer any help, it would be greatly appreciated! All money collected will be used to help cover their mortgage to avoid any chance of losing their home as well as covering their day-to-day living costs and any medical bills that may not be covered by their insurance.
We truly appreciate all of you and thank you from the bottoms of our hearts for your outpouring of love, prayers, and generosity during this difficult time.
Much love to you all
