In March 2025 Alec Hay was diagnosed with mantle cell lymphoma. He is now undergoing state of the art chemotherapy and has responded well to the first three rounds of treatment.

But this type of cancer is hard to eliminate. He will be doing additional monthly chemotherapy treatments in Salt Lake City starting July 7th. He has insurance through USU but his medical bills continue to mount.

His colleagues have organized this GoFundMe to help pay part of his medical bills. We have all benefitted from his warm personality and technical skills in the research greenhouses and we look forward to having him beat this cancer.
