I am excited to share that I have been accepted to attend a semester abroad program called The Traveling School! I have always loved learning about different places and cultures around the world and once I learned more about The Traveling School I knew I wanted to apply! Ten other high school girls and I will be studying in Southern Africa for 15 weeks this fall of my junior year. While attending this semester abroad we will be traveling and studying with our four teachers through Zambia, Botswana, Namibia and South Africa.

I am looking forward to learning all about the cultures, history and wildlife in the countries I will visit in Southern Africa. This opportunity will allow me to gain different perspectives and grow personally and academically. I know this unique way of learning will help shape my future and I am so grateful to have this experience as a high school student.

I will be doing a number of things to help finance my semester abroad like working a summer job and selling my handmade jewelry. Your support from this GoFundMe campaign will also help me with the costs of my flight and part of my tuition. Every little bit helps, and is greatly appreciated!
