Support Alden's Fight Against Necrotizing Pneumonia

Donation protected
Meet Alden Buzon, a courageous young boy who is currently recovering for his fight against necrotizing pneumonia, a severe and rare lung infection. He has had two weeks now, since May 20th, of facing many issues and now finding the strength to walk again with the help of his nurses and medical staff team.

On top of this, they’ve faced the heartbreak of explaining to Alden why he can’t have his favorite fries or snacks, or why he has to endure painful procedures instead of playtime. Nothing is harder than hearing your child look at you and ask, “Please stop the pain,” and knowing you can’t take it away.

My name is May Anilhongse, and I’m a good family friend of Alden’s. Our sons (my son is Wyatt) are going to Cherryland Elementary, where they became best buds in Mrs. Cheryl Fobbs's class. I’m helping his family during this incredibly challenging time by creating this fundraiser to support them with medical and living expenses.

Alden was recently diagnosed with necrotizing pneumonia, a condition where part of the lung tissue dies due to a severe bacterial infection. This has led to a two ER visits, a long traumatic hospital stay (where he is at currently), painful treatments, and a long road to recovery. Sadly, Alden may even miss his kindergarten promotion ceremony on June 6th, a milestone he and his family have been excited about all year. We are hoping and praying for an earlier discharge.

Alden is a bright, brave boy who loves playing Minecraft and building amazing worlds with his friends. He’s always been curious and imaginative, and Minecraft has been a way for him to express that creativity. Alden also has a 5-year-old sister, Bella, who misses her big brother and her parents who have had to sacrifice a lot of time to be at the hospital.

The Buzon family has been by Alden’s side every moment, but the financial burden has become overwhelming. I offered this as some financial relief and I really hope this can be for them. Alden’s father will be out of work for at least a month, and his mother will be out for two months, so they can both be there for Alden. Your donation, no matter how small, will go directly towards paying the family’s mortgage and bills during this crisis—ensuring they can keep a roof over their heads and maintain stability while Alden continues his recovery.

Thank you for taking the time to read Alden’s story. Please consider donating and sharing this campaign to help spread the word. Your support means the world to Alden, Bella, and their family as they navigate this difficult journey. Thank you from all of us!!!!!
