Help Support My Daughter’s Fight Against a High-Grade Brain Tumor

My name is Ramoni, and I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my daughter, who is facing the biggest battle of her life.

Everything started unexpectedly around October 31. She began vomiting nonstop and had a severe headache that lasted for 3 days. Two days before I took her to the hospital, I brought her to her doctor because her symptoms worried me. I was told it might be a delayed concussion, even though she hadn’t had a major injury. No CT scan or imaging was ordered, and I was told to monitor her at home.

But my mother’s intuition knew something was wrong. The night before I rushed her to the ER, she was vomiting persistently and clutching her head in pain. I couldn’t shake the feeling that this was something far more serious.

When we arrived at the hospital, our world changed. After multiple tests and an MRI on November 12, we learned she had a brain tumor.

She was admitted and spent 10 days in the hospital, undergoing two major surgeries. The first was an EVD to relieve pressure in her brain, and the second was a VP shunt on November 19 to manage hydrocephalus long-term.

We were told her tumor is a high-grade glioma, an extremely aggressive cancer. We are still waiting for the final pathology report, but based on her imaging, her team is very concerned.

Her second hospitalization began on November 25, and a new MRI showed that the main tumor had grown, multiple new small lesions had appeared in her brain, and tiny spots were also seen on her spine. Part of the tumor presses near the areas of the brain that control vision and body functions, and another part sits on her medulla, likely causing her constant nausea.

Her current treatment plan is daily radiation and chemotherapy. Even with this extremely aggressive treatment, her doctors have told me it may only give her about a 25% chance at life. Hearing that as a mother is something you never forget — but I refuse to give up on her.

At the same time, I am reaching out to specialists across the country to find options that might give her more hope. One surgeon in Memphis, Tennessee believes he may be able to perform surgery to debulk the tumor, something that could potentially extend her life and give her more time. I am exploring every hospital, every expert, and every possible chance to save my baby.

With all the hospital stays, treatments, and constant care she requires, I haven’t been able to work consistently. We are struggling to afford travel, food, bills, and the costs of possibly going out of state for specialized surgery.

How Your Support Helps
• Travel and lodging for out-of-state specialist evaluations
• Daily transportation to and from radiation and appointments
• Food and essentials during long hospital stays
• Lost income due to needing to care for her full-time
• Stability for our family during an overwhelming and uncertain time

My daughter is incredibly strong and brave. She is fighting with everything she has, and I am fighting with her. I just want to give her the best fighting chance possible.

Any amount helps more than you know. Sharing her story also makes a huge difference.

Thank you for reading, praying, donating, and supporting us during the hardest moment of our lives.

With love,
Ramoni
