Hello there! My name is Albert Nelthropp and I am an actor, singer, and writer based in New York City. Ever since I was a child playing pretend in my backyard I have known that I was meant to be an actor. After graduating Wagner College with a B.A. in Theatre performance in 2019, I worked professionally as an actor around the globe and have been a singing server at Gayle’s Broadway Rose in Times Square. But this year I have been given the opportunity of a lifetime: I have been accepted in London Academy of Musical and Dramatic Arts’ MFA program in Classical Acting. This exciting, 18 month course offers intensive training in interpreting classical text. Around 3,000 people audition and only 30-40 are accepted. Graduates of this program include legendary actors John Lithgow, Brian Cox, and Benedict Cumberbatch. Being given this pedigree and the ability to study abroad in the mecca of classical acting will ensure my future is as bright as it can be.
In order to take this once in a lifetime opportunity I need your help. Going to London to pursue my degree means I will not be able to work any of my jobs that support me as I must commit to being a full time student. Though I have some financial aid and am able to take out loans, the cost of living in London is high and I will need to maintain my living arrangements in New York City with my girlfriend Sami Kennett. Any donation I receive will go towards my housing, my food expenses, travel, and education. If you are unable to support me financially, please feel free to like, comment, and share! Your support means the world.
