Support Albert's Fight Against Stage 4 Colon Cancer

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Laura Richmond and I have known Albert aka Big Al for over 15 years. As soon as I met him I knew if there was one person to count on for good company, a hug, a laugh, a small or big project he was the person. Him and his family have opened their arms, hearts and home not just to me and my children, but to everyone they have and will continue to meet. Albert is the true definition of a father, a husband, a son, a brother and more importantly the foundation of all those, a friend. He is a giver and does not ask for anything in return and that is why we are asking for help with his recent diagnosis of stage 4 colon cancer.

The Yucalevich family moved to Tennessee in 2021 to make a better life since they struggled for many years in Pennsylvania to afford the cost of living. Even with Albert working 10 days straight including overtime when it was offered they couldn’t catch a break. In February he was originally diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer and in April was confirmed that it metastasized to his liver. Albert, a maintenance technician at Sonoco Metal Packing, is the main financial supporter for his family and was already out of work from February until the beginning of June from the first two surgeries. Sarah, wife of 23 years, Emily (18) high school graduate who will be attending UT Martin this fall and Eliza (16) who is an avid animal lover and is Vice President of her chapter in the FFA are all handling this diagnosis the best way they can. No one in the family expect this tragic news especially after loosing Erica (25),the oldest daughter, to suicide in October of 2022.

Sarah has picked up extra shifts at the Butcher Shop Steakhouse but they have spent their savings, maxed out the credit cards, and have sold household items to make sure they don’t lose their home and to put food on the table. Albert is due for surgery on his liver August 22nd and he will be out of work again for a minimum of 3 months to possibly 6 months. Any and all donations will go towards their mortgage, medical expenses, and basic cost of living.

Albert has many passions but his family is number one. He continues to add value to the community no matter where his home, from being a member of the Spring Ford Masonic Lodge 553 to teaching the FFA how to weld and build trestles. Without a question, he truly puts his heart into everyone and everything he does. We, the Yucalevich family and myself, appreciate the time you have taken to read our story and hope you can help. If you are able to contribute, any amount will be a huge donation and if you aren’t able to help financially please share with your friends and family.
