Our family is asking for help during an incredibly difficult and unexpected time.
Recently, our grandfather Albert (Bo-Bo) Merritt suffered a serious stroke and is currently in the hospital fighting to recover. In addition to the stroke, doctors have told us that his heart is only functioning at about 30%. He is receiving intensive medical care as doctors work to stabilize him and determine the best path forward.
Our grandparents have always been the kind of people who quietly work hard, help others, and never ask for anything in return. For many years, our grandfather has been the primary provider for their household, continuing to work to support both himself and our grandmother. With his sudden hospitalization and uncertain recovery, their only source of income has been put on hold.
As our family focuses on supporting him through this critical time, we are also trying to make sure our grandmother has what she needs to stay afloat. Medical bills, everyday living expenses, and the uncertainty of the months ahead are creating an overwhelming burden.
We created this fundraiser to help relieve some of that stress so our grandparents can focus on what truly matters right now — healing and being surrounded by family.
Any donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward medical expenses and helping cover basic living costs while our grandfather recovers. If you are unable to donate, sharing this page and keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers means just as much to us.
Thank you for your kindness, support, and generosity during this incredibly difficult time.
