In the early morning of Sunday, November 2nd, Alayiah was involved in a head on collision when a car that was traveling the wrong way on the highway collided with the car she was in. The crash left three casualties and two others with critical injuries. Unfortunately Alayiah did not survive her injuries and passed away on November 3, 2025. My husband and I were both Alayiah’s teachers in Portage Public Schools and have been close to the family for many years. Erika is a single mom who will be off work for an unknown amount of time and will need support in whatever way you can give during this difficult time. The money raised with go towards medical bills, Alayiah’s memorial, and support for her family as they navigate this terrible, unimaginable loss.
