Hello! My name is Alastair Brady. I’m a queer, neurodivgerent California based 22 year old self-taught artist, writer, photographer, and living history re-enactor.
Throughout high school, it was always my goal to go overseas and attend a UK university to get a degree in art and progress towards permanent residency there with work as an illustrator! However, since graduating high school, personal hardships, a surgery, and now COVID-19, have put me in a place of financial difficulty. Yet despite all of this, I have been accepted by the City of Glasgow College and I am determined to make my studies happen!
Any funds I receive will go towards:
-My university tuition (including deposit fees)
-My visa (including any legal immigration fees)
-My living expenses overseas
-Transportation (including plane ticket and metro card)
-Utilities
-Food
-Medical expenses
Going to school in the UK means a great deal to me. It’s what has got me through working grueling hours of retail all these years, fueled my work as an artist, and kept my hope intact: the thought of one day being able to be in a place where I feel at home and content with my life path, and I’ve always felt that place was in the UK. History is what inspires so many of my creations, and while I want to share those passions and creative works with others, it’s extremely challenging to do so from all the way here in the US!
Every little donation counts and is tremendously appreciated! Any support I receive will help to take the financial burden off my shoulders. I would like to thank anyone who is able to help me achieve my dream while I’m making what money I can during this incredibly difficult time when work shifts are not easily given. With your support, I hope to make this dream a reality!
Share this support page to your Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or other social media!
Thank you!
-Alastair
