Support Alanzo Phillips' Fight Against Cancer

Hello I am Erica Phillips I am starting this fund on behalf of my loving husband Alanzo G. Phillips Jr. Alanzo is loving and caring person, everyone loves him from his students and staff at University Prep charter middle school in the Bronx, NY. To a host family and friends. Alanzo has a 16year old son Jayden whose currently a junior at Brentwood H.S. Alanzo married the love of his life Erica Phillips in October 28th 2023. In 2014 Alanzo was diagnosed with synovial sarcoma cancer at stage 1 which is a rare malignant cancer that can form in muscles, ligaments and other soft tissues, about 1,000 cases are reported annually, in the U.S. Which led to him having his right thumb amputated. After 5 months chemotherapy, Alanzo beat cancer. 9 years later Alanzo began to experience excruciating pain in his right hand which led him to have to go through numerous testing like MRI, CT scan, and PET scan, bloodwork. After the testing was done Alanzo was hit with more bad news in September 2023 that the same synovial sarcoma cancer had returned and he was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer which led to below the elbow amputation. Alanzo was not able to receive chemotherapy due to having low heart function from doing rounds of chemotherapy previously, but he beat cancer once again. October 2024 Alanzo went for an annual check up and had to do a CT scan which later showed 1 nodule on left lung, and 2 nodules on the right lung . Alanzo orthopedic doctor requested that he get a PET scan done which later showed that he had a large mass on the back of his left thigh. Alanzo next visit was devastating because his cancer had returned for a 3rd time at stage 4. The left lung was malignant and the right lung was benign, and the large mass behind his left thigh was also malignant. As said before Alanzo is not eligible for chemotherapy because of low heart function which only is functioning at 35%. While going through this process I used to think my husband was crazy because he didn't show weakness, he didn't want any help with showering, he always stayed up beat and ready to do it all, even went back to work literally 2 months later as if he didn't have partial of his arm amputated but he remained positive throughout this whole ordeal and will once again continue to stay positive and will beat cancer once again...
