For folks lucky enough to know Alanna- we all know she is sunshine in human form with the most beautiful smile, a brilliant and talented actress, a driven and focused scholar, a loving and joyful friend, and someone who you just want to be around to be in her light. This GoFundMe is a space to shower her with love, financial supports, and make sure every step of this journey she feels held in her fierce, beautiful community of care.

In early June, Alanna was diagnosed with diffuse large B-Cell lymphoma (DLBCL), the most common type of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. It is a very treatable cancer, and the family is very optimistic.

As more appointments and consultations occur and information flows in, a clearer picture of the out of pocket expenses are becoming clear. At this respective time, the request is to raise $20,000 to support Alanna’s treatment and care. While the hope is for the costs not to exceed this amount, we recognize we are still at the beginning of a year long journey to recovery. This will be a living and breathing request space for Alanna as needs come up throughout treatment.

Some of the anticipated costs are co-pays for frequent doctor visits, hospital stays, and medication, as well as out of pocket costs for supplemental treatment such as therapy, acupuncture, vitamins, etc. We are also anticipating a significant portion going to the costs of long term care and storage of healthy fertility in the future.

There will also be tutoring requests for Alanna as she will be unable to physically attend school during the fall semester, and for her brother, Frank (Cairo), who will be impacted by the limited time and attention Cicily will have as she sees to Alanna’s care.
