Support Alana's Treatment
Hi! I have established this GoFundMe to help support my niece, Alana. If you can help in anyway, our family will be eternally grateful.
Here is Alana's Story told through her mom Blanca Soria.
I look at pics from 1 year ago and see the smile in her face full of sass and life……… how 1 year can change everything?
In June 2020, Alana had a “Banana Boat” accident at camp and after 6 months of unanswered questions and so many Dr’s visits, we received a diagnosis.
AMPS (Amplified Musculoskeletal Pain Syndrome), a jumble of alphabet soup if you asked me; that changed our lives.
Alana has lived with chronic pain, insomnia, anxiety, and painful tummy aches after meals.
She’s lost her smile, she can’t sleep or eat without pain.
I’ve asked, begged, screamed for answers, resources, or just help for her, with very little success.
Last night we got a glimpse of hope she was accepted into San Diego’s Pediatric Chronic Pain Treatment Center, it’s a 4 week inpatient program that will give her tools to be able to wake up every day and live with the pain.
We’re looking at a late September admittance.
I am reaching out for prayers:
• My job allows me to work remote, so I can be near her
• Our Insurance portion that we have to pay be manageable
• Financial peace for flights, rental cars, and anything else needs
• We haven’t been apart the girls and I and this will be hard.
My sweet girl is the bravest human being I have EVER encountered
