Our sweet Alana is 21 years old and has always been driven, kind, and full of purpose. She was in school pursuing her dream of becoming a physician when her life changed in ways none of us could have imagined. In October 2025, Alana was diagnosed with glioblastoma, a rare and aggressive brain tumor. She underwent brain surgery shortly after her diagnosis, followed by radiation and oral chemotherapy. Despite her strength and determination, the treatment process has been physically and emotionally demanding.
In late December, Alana began experiencing severe headaches, nausea, and neurological symptoms. Imaging revealed a large, fluid-filled cyst at the site of her tumor that was causing dangerous pressure on her brain. On December 31, 2025, she underwent an unexpected second brain surgery to remove the cyst and relieve the pressure. During surgery, abnormal tissue was discovered and sent for further testing. Alana is now recovering from this second surgery while continuing her cancer journey. She has been advised to pursue care at MD Anderson Cancer Center, which will involve travel, lodging, and extended time away from school and everyday life.
This GoFundMe is to support Alana with medical travel and lodging, ongoing treatment-related expenses, time away from school and loss of normal income, and supportive care needs during recovery. Alana is incredibly strong, but no one should have to face something like this alone. Every donation, prayer, and share means more than words can express. Thank you for helping surround her with love, support, and hope as she continues this fight.
