On Saturday 26 September, Alana was involved in a devastating tractor accident on her property. She has sustained serious and life-changing injuries and has undergone the amputation of her left leg. Alana is currently receiving treatment at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
Alana, who lives with her partner, Maria, in Mooroopna, Australia, is originally from Ireland and is currently in Australia on a working visa.
Alana is a passionate farmer and a much-loved member of our local community. Alongside Maria, she is deeply involved in community soccer, having played for the Shepparton United Women’s squad for a number of years and contributing countless volunteer hours as a coach for the club's under-10 girls.
This tragic event will have a long-term impact on Alana, and we are seeking community support. Our goal is to help her and her family cover immediate medical and travel expenses, and importantly, to raise funds for the significant future cost of a prosthetic limb.
Your support will allow them to focus fully on Alana’s recovery, and care for her through the weeks and months ahead. Thank you
