Hi, I am Kathryn, and I am raising money for Alan Gammons' emergency medical needs. Alan is a machinist by trade. On the way to work on September 15, his family's life was forever changed. Alan was hit head-on by a driver who veered onto his side of the road in a curve, not allowing Alan the opportunity to try to avoid. This tragedy caused Alan to be thrown over the car, resulting in paralysis from the waist down. Alan met his wife, Julie Gammons, in high school, and they have been married for 39 years. They share two sons, Dylan and Hogan. Julie has been an active peer support to our community for years. She continues to work out of Mount Airy and drive to and from Winston every night to be with Alan. This accident has turned this family upside down. Any donation, no matter the amount, could help them with the new changes they need, including handicap accessibility for their home, gas money for daily trips to Winston, and to lessen any financial strain during this horrendous time.
