Hello everyone, my name is Alan Buker and I am hoping to get some help with bills and necessities while I am out of work while going through cancer treatments.

Most of you will recall my GFM from last year where so many of you so generously helped us make ends meet after my extensive surgery. Today I am asking for your help once again to help us make ends meet while I go through treatment over the next few months.

Here's a brief recap to bring everyone up to date. After surgery in May 2025 and about four months of recovery and preparation, I began my first round of treatment with 33 doses of radiation and 7 rounds of chemo. After completing the treatment my first PET scan showed less than desirable results. The cancer responded somewhat but blew up in other places, most worrisome being in my lungs as well as my shoulder. Now the plan is more treatment but this time no radiation, double the chemo, and also incorporating immunotherapy with Keytruda and 5FU.

These treatments will be every 3 weeks and then I go home with a pump for the 5FU chemo to be dosed out at home over the course of 4 days. On the fourth day I go back to the hospital to have the line and pump removed. The duration of these treatments are to be determined but with a minimum of 3 months.

Last week was my first dose and while I was hopeful that I'd be able to work through the treatment, it has been a challenge for me to even get out of bed and I haven't been to work all week. We are very concerned how this will progress as the weeks and months drag on so we decided to start another fund despite how difficult it is for us to ask for help from you kind and generous people. Savings have dwindled fast since this all started last year but you kind people have helped us maintain our modest home despite the challenges.
