Hello all,
Our dear friend’s 3-year-old daughter, Alaire, passed out last night after having a fever and was quickly rushed to the hospital where doctors believed she has blood cancer!
Alaire was sent by ambulance, with her mom, to CHOP for further testing and a blood transfusion while her dad ran home to grab clothes and everything else the family will need for what seems to be a long stay in Philly.
The oncologist came in and is pretty certain Alaire has leukemia. They will have to do a bone marrow biopsy, but she needs a platelet infusion before they can do the biopsy. They are testing her blood now and waiting on that result because there is a test that will tell them for sure. (As of 11:00 am on 1/5/2026).
We are asking for funds to help support the family as they continue testing, then treating the leukemia, the time off work that her parents have to take to be by Alaire’s side, food while they are staying at the hospital, medicine, lodging, fuel to run back and forth, and any other needs the family will have during Alaire’s treatments and recovery. As we all know, it’s not a cheap process.
If you are unable to give, thank you so much for reading. We ask that you pray with us!
Please pray for Alaire’s quick recovery, her parents, sisters Adelyn and Lenna and her brother Rya. Parents' names are Abbie & Edwin.
Thank you for your consideration!
1/26/26 Update:
Alaire is now home with her family and is continuing her treatment plan at CHOP. We are on day 21 out of 29 days for the first phase of treatment. Overall, doctors are very impressed with her progress, however this journey will take over two years. We may be at home, but this is far from over. We are adjusting to caring for her at home and taking all of the precautions we can since she is so immunocompromised. Words cannot express how thankful we are for all of your donations. Never in our wildest dreams did we think this would ever happen. But in our darkest hour, you have all shed the necessary light for us to keep moving forward on this journey. And even on her hardest days, Alaire still found the strength to smile. Heroes come in all shapes and sizes. We are just lucky enough to witness her extraordinary strength, her indestructible beauty, and limitless courage each and every day.
Thank you everyone for your continued support, love and prayers.
Love,
Abbie and Edwin
