Support Alaina’s Journey to Full Recovery

Dear Friends, Family, and Community,

Many of you may know our daughter Alaina as a bubbly, joyful child—always smiling, always full of energy. On November 24, 2025, our world changed in a way we never could have imagined.
That day, Alaina went to Valley Children’s Hospital for what we thought would be a routine MRI. Instead, after an agonizing wait, we were brought into a private room and told that doctors had discovered a large tumor in her brain. We were overwhelmed with shock, fear, and uncertainty. Soon after, Alaina was admitted to the emergency room, where a team of specialists—including a neurosurgeon—explained that the tumor was about the size of an orange, located in the left side of her head, and had likely been there for years.
That same night, Alaina was transferred to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, and the following morning she underwent a 10-hour brain surgery. Those were the longest hours of our lives as we waited anxiously for updates, praying our little girl would be okay. We were finally told that the surgery was successful and, by God’s grace, the tumor was completely removed.
Although we were relieved, the journey did not end there. Alaina spent several days in the PICU, where she faced weakness on her right side and difficulty speaking. Slowly, and with incredible strength, she began to improve. She later spent four days in a rehabilitation center, where her doctors were amazed by her progress.
Earlier this week, Alaina was finally able to come home. She continues to heal and now requires medication and ongoing therapy, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy. While we are beyond grateful for her recovery so far, the medical bills, therapy costs, and time away from work have created a financial burden that we were not prepared for.
We are humbly asking for any support you can offer—whether through a donation, sharing Alaina’s story, or keeping her in your prayers. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps our family focus on what matters most: our daughter’s complete recovery.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, generosity, and kindness during this difficult time. Your support means everything to us. With gratitude,

The Salcedo Family
