Hi, my name is Diana Pennington and I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friend, Al White, and his family.

Many of you know that Al has lived courageously as a paraplegic for the past 29 years as a result of an accident from doing something that he felt passionately about, providing recycling and sustainability for the Flagstaff community. Recently, he went in for a routine heart stent procedure but unexpected complications occurred during the surgery. Doctors predict a possible lengthy recovery.

The road ahead could be overwhelming, both emotionally and financially. The funds raised here will go toward:

Travel expenses so his family can be by his side at the hospital

Medical supplies not covered by insurance

Costs related to a potential stay in a rehabilitation facility once he is stable

Al has shown incredible strength throughout his life, he’s been a true pillar and inspiration to our community and now it’s our turn to rally around him and his loved ones. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help ease the burden on his family during this difficult time.
