Al Lovejoy, carpenter for Dave Voelker Design & Construction and brother to Art Lovejoy, has been diagnosed with pneumonia and late-stage lymphoma. Since his diagnosis on March 13th, Al has undergone intensive immunotherapy and continues to receive blood transfusions with 10 weeks of chemotherapy on the horizon. Al is also suffering from acute hypoxia, a partially collapsed left lung due to the swelling of the lymph nodes. Although Al is eager to come back to work, doctors are estimating at least 6 months for a full recovery.

Al has been a dedicated, talented, conscientious, caring, and loyal employee of DVDC for 16 years. In addition to his full-time employment, Al takes care of his daughter and 3 grandchildren, as well as other family members. With the support of his friends, family, customers, business associates, and those fortunate enough to know him, we are optimistic for his treatment and his future. All monetary donations will go to Al’s basic living expenses, testing, doctor appointments, prescriptions, co-pays and, other out-of-pocket expenses.
