Hello everyone,

I am organizing this fundraiser for my karate instructor, Akram, and his wife, Turane, who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. This diagnosis has turned their world upside down, leaving them overwhelmed emotionally, physically, and financially. They are loving parents to two young boys, who are trying to navigate this difficult time alongside them.

When Akram shared Turane’s diagnosis, it was clear how deeply this has affected their family. Between medical appointments, treatments, and the emotional weight of cancer, they are facing a battle no one should have to go through alone. The financial burden is overwhelming, especially with the high cost of cancer care, even with insurance.

On top of everything, Akram is currently working three different jobs to keep up with the mounting medical expenses. Despite his tireless efforts, the financial strain is becoming unbearable.

What’s even more heartbreaking is the possibility that he may have to step back from teaching karate, his true passion and calling, simply because he cannot keep up with the overwhelming costs of his wife’s treatment. For someone who has dedicated his life to helping others grow, losing the ability to continue doing what he loves is devastating.

Akram is more than just a karate instructor; he is a mentor, a supporter, and a source of strength for everyone who has trained under him. His dedication to his students goes far beyond teaching techniques. He has created a welcoming, disciplined, and uplifting environment that feels like a second home.

All donations will go directly to Akram and Turane to help ease the financial burden of her surgery, chemotherapy, medications, and other unexpected medical bills. These contributions will not only support Turane’s fight against cancer but will also help Akram maintain stability, continue working, and, hopefully, remain able to teach karate, which brings so much value to the community.
