Hello everyone,

My name is Andrew Wilson, and I’m reaching out with a desperate plea for help for my beloved wife, Aki Wilson.

Aki is 44 years old, a kind and hardworking Japanese immigrant who has built a beautiful life with me here in Hawaii. She is a passionate dog groomer who absolutely lights up around animals — her gentle touch and endless love for dogs make her the heart of her small business and the joy of every pup she cares for.

In December, Aki traveled to Japan to visit her grandfather, who was in the hospital and not doing well. It was an emotional trip she had been planning for months, wanting to spend what might be his final days with him and the rest of her family. Tragically, during the long flight, a serious infection in her lymph nodes suddenly flared up and became life-threatening. She was rushed to the hospital immediately after landing.

Doctors in Japan are providing the critical care she needs, including emergency treatment, ongoing hospital stays, specialized medications, tests, and possibly surgery. But because this is happening in Japan, our Hawaii-based health insurance covers almost none of the costs. At the same time, since Aki no longer lives in Japan, she does not qualify for their national health coverage. We are facing these enormous medical expenses completely out-of-pocket.

We’ve set a goal of $200,000 to help cover:

• Emergency and ongoing hospital care

• Medications, specialist visits, and diagnostic tests

• Potential surgical procedures

• Follow-up treatment and rehabilitation

• Travel and living costs while she remains in Japan receiving care

Every donation will go directly toward Aki’s medical bills and bringing her home healthy to Hawaii — back to the dogs she adores, our life together, and the community that loves her.

Watching my wife fight this while also grieving for her grandfather has been heartbreaking. Yet Aki remains incredibly strong — even from her hospital bed, she talks about the dogs waiting for her and how grateful she is for the care she’s receiving.

昨年12月、亜希は入院加療中で容態の良くなかったおじいちゃんに会うため、日本へ里帰りしました。何年も会えていなかった家族と過ごし、おじいちゃんの最期に立ち会いたいという、亜希にとって大切な旅でした。

ところが、長時間のフライトの途中で、亜希のリンパ節にあった感染症が突然悪化し、命に関わる状態になってしまいました。到着後すぐに病院へ緊急搬送され、現在も日本の病院で治療を受けています。

治療内容は緊急入院、継続的な入院治療、専門的な薬剤、検査、そして場合によっては手術が必要です。しかし、日本での治療のため、ハワイの健康保険はほとんど適用されません。また、亜希が日本に住民票を置いていないため、日本の国民健康保険も使えない状況です。私たちはこれらの高額な医療費をすべて自己負担で支払わなければなりません。

目標金額を20万ドル（約3,000万円）と設定しました。この資金は以下の用途に直接充てられます：

• 緊急治療および継続的な入院費
