Hi, my name is Jordan, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart. My dog and best friend, Akira, has been a huge part of my life for over five years. Everyone who’s had the pleasure of meeting her knows she’s the most loving and caring dog in the world.

Last week, we received the heartbreaking news that Akira has developed lymphoma and needs immediate treatment for cancer. Without treatment, I was told I may only have a couple of months left with her. With chemotherapy, there’s a chance I could have my baby with me for about a year longer. Sadly, while the cancer is treatable, it isn’t curable.

Between lab work, medication, treatment plans, and follow-up care, the estimated cost is between $15,000 and $17,000. With help from my family, what I’ve saved, and what I’m willing to go into debt for, we’re doing everything we can to move forward with treatment.

I’m humbly asking for any help — whether that’s a donation or simply sharing this page with others. Every single cent will go directly toward Akira’s treatment and making her as comfortable as possible for the time we have left together.

I always imagined Akira would be with me for another 10 years, well into my 40s. Unfortunately, our time together is being cut short. One day, I know I’ll see her again on the other side.
