In Loving Memory of Akeem Alijuwan Ray

Our support and prayers go out to Akeem's mother, Tamara Ray for whom we set this up; his sister, Shikela Ray; the entire Ray and Lindsey Families; and all of Akeem's friends and loved ones.

Akeem's appreciation for life was magnetic. He drew people together and had an easy way of lifting those around him. Self described as “Your personal HYPE MAN” he saw the best in us and he saw the best in this moment, infusing it with his trademark humor and warmth. His laughter was contagious, and his presence lit up every room he entered. He was magic.

Akeem's friends were not just friends; they were family, drawn to his generosity of spirit and his unwavering loyalty.

As we bid farewell to Akeem Ray, we celebrate a life so-well-lived.

His legacy of living in the moment will continue to inspire us, his jokes will continue to make us laugh, and his focus on what matters most will forever remind us to love one another and let our love be known easily, frequently, and abundantly.

A celebration of life took place on July 6.

Akeem's final resting place was made on July 9 in Tampa, Florida.
