Laurie here. Thank you for taking the time to learn about the situation with my sister, Aj. She has been diagnosed with stage 3 liver disease and is currently very ill. As a result, she is immunocompromised, weak, and jaundiced, with elevated liver enzymes and bilirubin levels. Recently, she was hospitalized due to complications from her condition, and although she is out of the hospital now, she remains very fragile. Right now, we do not have an official prognosis, but her doctors are closely monitoring her condition and lab results.

Aj is self-employed and, unfortunately, due to the severity of her illness, she has been unable to work as much as she needs. As a single woman with only one income, this has placed an added strain on her. She’s doing her best to manage but is struggling with pain in her abdomen and weakness. Many days, even basic tasks are difficult for her. She’s also at high risk of contracting life-threatening infections, which is a constant concern.

Our family is helping her as much as we can, but our dad has been unwell as well. Although he’s making progress, our mom has been stretched thin caring for both of them.

We are praying for a miracle in Aj’s life, believing that her liver will regenerate, and that she will soon be back to living life and working again.
