Life changed in an instant for the Joshi family in March 2019 when Ajit Joshi, a beloved husband and father of two, was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic cancer. His cancer was in advanced stages and inoperable. Prognosis was grim and he was expected to have only a few months of survival time. Ajit fought this deadly cancer for two years Ajit eventually succumbed to the dreaded disease and passed away on January 29th, 2021, leaving his wife Ashwini Joshi and two children behind.
During last two years, Ajit displayed relentless commitment to his treatment and enormous will power to fight this disease, all with a smile on his face. He stayed strong for his family and continued working at his full-time job until the last day of his life. He was an inspiration for his family, colleagues and everyone he touched in his life
Ajit was the primary breadwinner for his family. His family had moved to U.S. from India a few years ago and were still in the process of settling in USA, when this tragedy struck. During his last moments, Ajit was grappling with the thought of a very uncertain and challenging future for his son Ayush (14). He is a very bright student and holds enormous potential. Like all parents, Ajit wanted to provide the best education and opportunities to Ayush. However, Ajit’s sudden demise and the financial hardship incurred during his treatment over the last two years, have left the family with significant challenges and insecurities for the future.
As a close-knit community we have always supported each other in times of need. Ajit’s family will greatly benefit from your support and generous donations. We are starting this Go-fund-me campaign to raise funds to fulfill Ajit’s last wish, contribute towards covering future college expenses for Ayush, and provide support to the family during these difficult times.
