Support Ajay Fight Cancer
I wanted to reach out to you all and let you know I am creating a Go Fund Me campaign to support Ajay Chaudhary fight cancer.
Let me tell you a little about Ajay. Ajay belongs to a landless, deprived and marginal Tharu community in Nepal. Ajay came to Kathmandu from his remote village to seek work and earn his living. We met this young man through our late son who wanted to give him shelter and food. With assistance, Ajay was able to rent and open up a small tea and snacks stall in Kathmandu. His wife, Sunaina later joined him from the village. Sunaina has worked in our household since then. We have known their two children since birth. Both are in school.
In February of this year, Ajay was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Shortly afterwards, the COVID-19 lockdown occurred in Nepal and Ajay’s limited income from the tea stall ended. Even though Ajay works 7 days a week and 10 hours a day he barely makes ends meet. With little or no savings at hand, he contacted our family. My wife, Usha encouraged him to go to the hospital and promised that she would help him whatever way she could. With our assistance, Ajay was able to begin his initial treatments and tests. Because of the COVID-19 virus and the cost of hospitalization doctors advised him to stay at home and visit the hospital only during tests and chemotherapy.
The doctors are optimistic that Ajay has a good prognosis IF he can continue with his treatments. The cost of treatments, doctor visits, drugs, and travel to the hospital will be over $40,000. You can well imagine that a man who works 7 days a week, yet only makes $250 a month cannot pay for this life saving care. Nepal is one of the poorest nations in the world and does not have medical insurance and or any type of social security to cover these medical expenses. I am asking you my friends to help raise the money for Ayjay’s lifesaving treatments. 100% of the money raised will go used to pay for his care.
Any support whatever small to help Ajay fight his cancer will be highly appreciated.
