Update 03/30/23 hey everyone! We are back in Missoula done with radiation treatments now. She will start chemo within the next 4 weeks and that sounds like it will go on for several months. Although a lot going on we just try to go day by day and with you guys’ help we can get through this. She is doing good health wise and has even been able to work some but we know that chemo is going to be hard in the body. Keep us in your prayers God bless
Update 02/08/23
Hello everyone, treatments have been going well so far as we are two weeks in and side effects have evened out and not been too bad. Appointments have all been going well as well which is good. There is still a lot of treatment to come and several more weeks in Seattle. We ask for your continued support through this, as the time off work is definitely financially stressful. Any help is appreciated and all help is needed including prayers and donations. Please take the time to read and share! God Bless!
Update 01/2023: We have had our first simulation appointment in Seattle and will be returning in a week or so to start the 6 weeks of treatment. We will both be there and not working for 6 weeks which means any help is appreciated and needed. Thank you all
Update 12/8: Today we had an appointment with the oncologist. They told us that it is believed to be a medulla blastoma which is cancerous but the molecular tests are still being done to determine exactly what is next. No matter what they will be radiation and potentially some chemotherapy involved. However, the biggest thing is that with it being such a rare tumor type we are going to have to go to the University of Washington to get treatment and more from a larger team of doctors. With all of this ahead we ask for your prayers of peace and healing and any donations you can spare as we need anything you can spare. God bless and thank you all so much!
Update 11/23:
Hey everyone I just wanted to give you all an update on what has been going on and also truly just say thank you to everyone who has donated so far, it means more than you know. We are officially 2 weeks post surgery and Aiyana is doing great! She feels much better each day not waking up with headaches and is slowly gaining more strength back day by day. We had a follow up appointment with the surgeon who said pathology was not done yet as they had to send it(the tumor) off to the University of Washington to fully diagnose what it is. However, no matter the final determination, it does appear the at least one round of chemo and or radiation therapy will be needed and potentially a more serious treatment depending on what they find. This has left us feeling scared as the words cancer and chemo are scary ones, but we know that with support and prayers we will get through this. God bless and thank you!
Original:
Hey everyone. Around September of this year Aiyana started to have some mild headaches from what we thought was the smoke. After getting an air purifier they seemed to be a little less mild for just a few days and then ramped back up again. Over the past few months they have progressively got worse until blurry vision and nausea came around, making it incredibly hard for her to get a good days work in. It got to a point where everyday seemed to have a moment of misery and pain. 11/07/22 we went into the E.R. After she had a terrible headache and threw up rather aggressively. They did a CT scan and found an abnormality on the back right side of her head so they proceeded to do an MRI to further diagnose. We are unsure of what’s next but know that with everyone’s help and prayers it can ease the stress of what is to come. We are both going to be out of work for a few weeks processing her recovery so anything can help! Please feel free to share, donate, or reach out via text message to me if you have more questions or want help privately! God bless everyone
