“Hi! My name is Aislinn, I am a single mom raising 3 beautiful kids. I am about to have open heart surgery to replace my mitral valve. I was born with a heart murmur and when I was 10 I was diagnosed with rheumatic fever. It made my mitral valve have regurgitation meaning blood flows back into my heart instead of it all pumping out. Then when I was 14 I was diagnosed with endocarditis which worsened my heart condition. I was supposed to have heart surgery when I was 16 and they postponed it because my heart stopped progressing. As the years went on my heart has severe regurgitation and mild to moderate stenosis. Any donation helps while I’m recovering in this tough time to support my family! Thank you. “
